And Daley has refused to rule out retirement, insisting it's a 'future problem' that he needs to resolve.
"I love diving and this year has been so much fun for me to be able to come back and enjoy it," he revealed.
"But I don’t really know what I’m going to do yet.
"I’m just enjoying this moment and then I feel like the decision on diving is a future problem."
The next Olympics will take place in Los Angeles in 2028.
Daley lives in the city, having opted to leave the United Kingdom following the games in Tokyo three years ago.
When asked if living in LA tempts him into competing there, he added: "Oh, of course."
Daley also shed light on his routine at the Olympics, with the 30-year-old admitting to early starts.
"Normally the finals don’t take place in the morning, but this Olympics they were at 11am, which is quite unusual," he said.
"We've had to shift our training to actually be able to get used to diving our best at that time, so we start off our mornings around 6.
"I then make sure I get on all of my 'old man machines' as I call them. I have a machine to put on my back and some things that I put on my knees to warm them up and then I walk over to the main dining hall.
"I’ll get some eggs and porridge and then we head over to the buses that take us over to the pool, it's normally about a ten-minute journey.

"I then spend about an hour warming up in the gym, doing stretching and mobility and then go to the pool for an hour or so, depending on the training schedule and the window we have to train.
"After that, we do our weight training sessions and then head over to the Team GB lodge.
"They’ve set up a whole scenario for us to be able to eat there, rest there and recover.
"I spend most of the afternoon trying to relax and rest.

"I also got to see my kids and my husband as well the day before competing.
"And then I go home and knit. Whenever I have high cortisol levels and stressful competition situations I tend to spend a lot of time knitting."
