Adam Peaty’s mum, Caroline, has taken to Instagram with a series of cryptic messages suggesting the rift with her Olympic swimmer son Adam has left her "broken".
The mother of the 30-year-old athlete shared posts hinting at her state of mind after she did not receive an invitation to her son's upcoming wedding to Holly Ramsay.
One post read: "This year, I met the most broken version of myself but also the strongest. 2026, get ready, because I'm coming back stronger than ever."
Another message appeared to reference the dispute: "The truth will always make you light because the truth will never try to fight to prove what is right."
The family turmoil began when Caroline discovered she had been excluded from Holly's hen celebration at Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire last month.
She subsequently learned she would not be attending the couple's wedding either, a snub that proved difficult to accept.
Caroline's sister, Louise, responded by publicly criticising Holly on social media.
The situation escalated further when Adam's 34-year-old brother James was taken into custody on suspicion of harassment whilst the Olympic champion was celebrating his stag weekend in Budapest.

The series of events has deepened the divide between the Peaty and Ramsay families ahead of the December ceremony.
Caroline has now formally contacted Netflix, demanding the streaming service remove footage of the Peaty family from Gordon Ramsay's forthcoming documentary series.
In her correspondence, she claims that family members did not provide consent to appear in the production, titled Being Gordon Ramsay, which was filmed during Adam and Holly's engagement celebration last year.

|According to sources, Caroline was captured on camera delivering a speech at the event, with other relatives also filmed during arrivals and whilst socialising at the London gathering.
The documentary is scheduled for release in early 2026, and the family anticipates a response from Netflix within a fortnight of the letter being received.
A source close to Gordon Ramsay disputed the consent claims, stating that notices were prominently displayed at the lavish engagement party.
"They stated that by attending, you were giving your consent to appear in the show," the source explained, adding that the Peaty family members were not formally interviewed, meaning no additional permissions would have been required.

Adam, 30, and Holly, 25, are set to exchange vows at Bath Abbey in Somerset on December 27.
His sister Bethany remains the sole Peaty family member with an invitation to the ceremony.
