Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes has complained his side should have 'hurt' Bayern Munich more and showed more 'patience' during Wednesday night's Champions League clash, as well as giving them too much space.
The Red Devils put up a fight but lost 4-3 to their Bundesliga counterparts at the Allianz Arena.
United were actually the team in the ascendancy prior to a mistake from goalkeeper Andre Onana, who continues to look shaky following his summer move from Inter Milan.
Leroy Sane, Serge Gnabry, Harry Kane and Mathys Tel all netted for Bayern, with a Casemiro brace and Rasmus Hojlund strike not enough for the visitors.

Speaking to TNT Sports after the game, Fernandes admitted the defeat was a tough one to stomach.
And the United skipper also lamented his side's failure to hurt Bayern more, show patience and give their rivals too much space during the contest.
"Obviously, it's really difficult to take this one," stated the midfielder.
"We knew it was going to be tough to play against Bayern. We knew they're such a great team.
"When you give so much space to them, and time to them, they're going to hurt you.
"We start the game, then 1-0 down, 2-0 down. We came back in the second half, to 2-1, and we concede an early goal.
"Again we came back, to 3-2, and we concede again.
"Overall, we stayed in the game but could have hurt them a little bit more, had a bit more patience on the ball.
"There were many good things to take from the game but it wasn't enough to win the game."
Fernandes also made it clear United couldn't use injuries as an excuse for the defeat.
The Red Devils are currently missing established names such as Luke Shaw, Raphael Varane, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire and Mason Mount.
Yet Fernandes insisted United haven't been good enough in recent matches and believes they still have enough quality in their team.
"We don't have to think about the injured players," he said.
"We have enough players to give a response on the pitch.
"Obviously, we want everyone fit, as many players as possible, and we know we have some important players injured, but that's not an excuse not to win games."
Manager Erik ten Hag has challenged United to 'make their own luck' as they look to overcome their poor form.
Speaking after the showdown in Bavaria, the 53-year-old said: "We are in a period, a lot is going against us, but we have to make our own luck.
"When we can't keep going [like this] and we can't keep consistent in doing the rules and the principles of our game, then you concede goals.
"But also [it is] telling that we have played three great teams in the last three games [Arsenal, Brighton & Hove Albion and now Bayern].”
He added: “Every game is important, every game is huge and, as I just said, we have to make our own luck.

"No-one is going to help you, you see in the first 25 minutes, you have to score a goal, but if not, stay in that game and don't allow the opponent to score a goal like we did.
"It is not only about one mistake [by Andre Onana], because also before that, it was too easy for the player [Leroy Sane] to get that shot.
"You have to be consistent in such a moment and then you will win games.”
