The Reds are now level on points with Manchester City and Arsenal at the top of the table

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has reacted after his side beat Brentford 3-0 at Anfield on Sunday.

Mohamed Salah bagged a brilliant brace for the Reds, with the Egypt international continuing to shine despite seeing a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia break down in the summer.

And Diogo Jota came off the bench to score as well and give Liverpool all three points.

It was another positive day at the office for the Merseyside giants, who are now level on points with Manchester City and Arsenal at the top of the Premier League table.

Liverpool are next in action against Manchester City on November 25 after the international break.

But Klopp, speaking after his side put Brentford to the sword, has slammed the decision to pencil that match in for a 12.30pm kick off.

"How can you put the Man City game on at 12:30?" ranted the German.

"These people don't know football.

"There could be a moment when these two teams have 30 international players, we pick up the South Americans on one plane to arrive here."

Klopp was also full of praise for Salah, who has now netted 200 goals in English football.

"Goal No 200 in England, right? Exceptional, played a super game today," he stated.

"Two players always around him, he kept the ball. We had so many good moments first half.

"[The] composure for first goal is insane.

"No doubt in that area, you see it on the scoresheet. Special player."

And while Brentford lost, Klopp made it clear he was impressed by the way Thomas Frank's side performed during the match at Anfield.

"We can't control everything and they use these moments, have a clear idea and it is horrible [to play against]," he added.

"I couldn't respect them more.

"Putting such a mature performance like we did on the pitch today is pretty special and I'm really happy with that.

"We showed a top reaction today but we need to keep going.

Jota also spoke out after the game - and the Portugal international admitted it was a difficult win for his side.

"The result gives us a clear victory but we know how hard it is," he said.

"We are very happy with the clean sheet and the way we performed today.

"We did our best on set-pieces. We didn't give away a great amount of them until especially we were already in front.

"In the end it's a clean sheet and three points.

"We had a couple of VAR decisions that delayed our first goal a bit but we finally got it and with the quality we have we could score two more.

"We are still adapting to each other and it's still early days in the season but we will find the best ways to play together and hopefully we can keep winning matches."

On Salah, he continued: "He is always there, is a goal threat, creates chances and is really important for us like everyone knows. "Congratulations to him on his 200th goal.

"We are different players obviously and we try to do our best to help the team. That is what we want to keep doing."
