The MLS side have been outstanding since the arrival of the Argentina forward

David Beckham has admitted he finds 'fix' claims levelled at Inter Miami to be a massive compliment.

The MLS side have been resurgent ever since the arrival of Lionel Messi, with the Argentina forward helping his side beat FC Cincinnati in the early hours of Thursday morning.

And Beckham, speaking before that win, admitted that he finds theories players are 'fixing' games to be a positive, rather than a negative.

He said: “Every time Leo [Messi] scores one of these goals, every time Busi [Sergio Busquets] makes one of these passes, every time Jordi [Alba] makes one of these runs, people say ‘Is it a fix?’

“It’s the biggest compliment that anyone can give these players because it is like a movie.

"You watch these players play and it’s emotional because everything about their play is beautiful.

"Everything about their mannerisms is beautiful and everything about them as individuals, off the pitch, is beautiful.”

Inter Miami have struggled during their short history so far.

But, with Messi now in their side, they appear to be a force to be reckoned with.

The 36-year-old has scored 10 goals from eight appearances so far, clocking up three assists along the way.

While he was unable to score against FC Cincinnati in the early hours of Thursday morning, he still helped his side to victory by netting in the penalty shootout triumph.

Inter Miami have now reached the final of the US Open Cup, having recently won the Leagues Cup.

And Beckham reacted to the win on social media by saying: “Another great night in pink. A great performance from the team to reach another final.

"Very proud.”

Messi, meanwhile, recently admitted he was delighted to be playing in Miami - and also aimed a dig at former club Paris Saint-Germain.

"I am excited there will be another game to continue that happiness," he stated.

"I am very happy now, I said that from the very beginning. I chose to come here to this city, it was a decision that we made with time.

"We didn't make this decision overnight, and that's why everything is much easier.

"We are in the place we want to be and it was our decision, that's why everything is much easier.

"I didn't want to leave [Barcelona] for PSG and that was [an] overnight [decision].

"I wanted to stay in Barcelona, but I had to get used to a different place, a different place from the one I had lived in terms of the city.

"It was difficult in Paris, but it is quite the opposite what is going on with me here and now."

Inter Miami are next in action against the New York Red Bulls on Sunday (12.30am).
