The 30-year-old's future is up in the air

Bayern Munich are looking at alternatives to Tottenham striker Harry Kane, according to reports.

The England international's future is currently up in the air, with the 30-year-old prepared to go overseas as he seeks a new challenge.

Over the weekend, Bayern submitted a huge £86million bid for Kane - a fee that would make him the most-expensive signing in the club's entire history.

Yet with the two teams yet to reach an agreement, 90min now say Bayern are looking at potential alternatives.

The Bundesliga giants are making plans in case Kane stays in north London, despite Thomas Tuchel's determination to bring him in.

The report says Bayern are keeping tabs on Juventus hitman Dusan Vlahovic, with the Old Lady willing to sell the Serbia international this summer.

Big things were expected of the 23-year-old when he moved to the Serie A giants from Fiorentina in January 2021.

However, after 18 inconsistent months in Turin, a parting of ways might be on the cards.

Vlahovic is wanted by Chelsea, with the Blues prepared to offer Romelu Lukaku in return.

Yet they're not keen on including money as part of any swap deal and that gives Bayern an opening.

Bayern also have Randal Kolo Muani on their shortlist of potential targets.

The Eintracht Frankfurt star was linked with Manchester United earlier this summer, only for the Red Devils to end up swooping for Rasmus Hojlund instead.

However, while Bayern like the France international, they're unwilling to spend £86m on him.

There's also the added complication of Paris Saint-Germain being interested in Kolo Muani, too, with the Ligue 1 side making plans in case Kylian Mbappe leaves.

For now, it's unclear what will happen.

Tottenham, should they keep hold of Kane, would run the risk of losing the player for nothing in 12 months' time.

But that currently seems like a gamble Spurs chief Daniel Levy is willing to take.

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou slammed Bayern on Sunday, with the Australian unhappy with the way the Bundesliga giants are handling the saga.

“What is factual right now is that Kane is a contracted player of our football club," said the 57-year-old.

“I certainly wouldn’t talk about contracted players at other football clubs but I’m not at Bayern so they can go the way they want.”

He added: “I don’t know what ‘deadlines’ means.

“We know there’s one deadline and that’s the end of the transfer window.

“Beyond that, I’m in open dialogue with Harry and the club on a regular basis.

“I’ve said to them, ‘If the status quo changes then inform me’. I don’t need to know about the comings and goings in between.
