Northern Ireland's Tom McKibbin has secured his maiden Masters appearance and a third Open Championship berth following a commanding seven-stroke triumph at the Hong Kong Open.
The 22-year-old LIV Golf professional dominated the Asian Tour event from start to finish, completing his wire-to-wire victory with a tournament record 27-under-par total of 253.
McKibbin's remarkable week at Fanling began with an official course-record 60 on Thursday.
He maintained his advantage throughout, closing with a superb 63 on Sunday to claim his second professional title.

The victory guarantees the Holywood native a coveted debut at Augusta National in April 2026 and a return to The Open at Royal Birkdale.
The Belfast-born golfer entered Sunday's final round holding a slender one-stroke advantage over American MJ Maguire.
He quickly extended that cushion with two birdies in his opening three holes, adding another at the par-three eighth to reach the turn two shots clear of Peter Uihlein.
McKibbin then accelerated decisively, recording five birdies in seven holes after the turn.
His relentless scoring included gains at the 10th, 11th, 13th, 14th and 16th holes. Meanwhile, Uihlein's challenge evaporated with a quadruple-bogey eight at the 14th.
The Northern Irishman's sole blemish came via a three-putt bogey at the 18th. His eight-birdie round featured just that single dropped shot, matching his exceptional consistency throughout the tournament where he made 30 birdies against only three bogeys.

"It was obviously amazing, I played some of the best golf I've probably ever played," McKibbin told R&A TV following his round.
The youngster reflected on fulfilling lifelong ambitions: "I've dreamt of doing this since I was a young kid, and they come true if you dream hard enough."
McKibbin, who plays for Jon Rahm's Legion XIII team, earned $360,000 for his efforts. He previously captured his sole European Tour victory at the 2023 European Open in Germany.
The Newtownabbey man shares membership at Holywood Golf Club with five-time major champion Rory McIlroy, the reigning Masters champion.
McKibbin had earned a PGA Tour card through the DP World Tour last year but opted to join LIV Golf, where he helped secure the season-long team title whilst amassing individual earnings of $5.77 million.
The Hong Kong Open represents one of the elevated International Series events on the Asian Tour, attracting a strong field with its unique major championship qualifying status.

Augusta National and the R&A aligned their criteria this year to include the tournament amongst select national opens offering direct entry to both the Masters and The Open.
McKibbin's winning aggregate established a new tournament scoring record at Fanling, surpassing previous champions including Padraig Harrington in 2003 and McIlroy in 2011.

"With a tournament with so much history behind it, and great players have won this tournament, to have the scoring record is pretty special," McKibbin remarked.
The event is bankrolled by Saudi Arabia-backed LIV Golf, strengthening the breakaway tour's pathway to major championships.
