Scottie Scheffler has committed to competing at this year's Genesis Scottish Open, organisers revealed on Wednesday.
The American, currently ranked first in the world, arrives in strong form following a runner-up finish at the Cadillac Championship.
"I always enjoy coming to the Genesis Scottish Open and taking on the challenge of links-style golf as part of an exciting couple of weeks in the UK. The tournament always has a strong field, and the Scottish fans help to make it a fun week," Scheffler said in a statement.
The announcement came as the 29-year-old opted to skip the Truist Championship ahead of next week's PGA Championship.
Scheffler's relationship with the Scottish event has been a journey of steady improvement since his debut four years ago.
His first appearance in 2022 proved challenging, with the Texan failing to make the weekend cut after posting a five-over-par total across his opening two rounds.
