Officials have announced that Thursday's singles matches for the 13th Junior Ryder Cup will take place at Nassau Country Club in Glen Cove rather than the originally planned Bethpage Black venue.
The decision came on Wednesday evening as forecasters predicted severe weather conditions including rain and thunderstorms for Farmingdale, where Bethpage Black is located.
It comes just a day after tournament organisers announced the opening ceremony would be brought forward to Wednesday amid the severe weather warnings.
The world's most promising junior golfers had been scheduled to conclude their tournament at the renowned public course on Thursday.

Instead, they will return to Nassau Country Club, where the competition's foursomes and four-ball matches took place on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The competition stands delicately balanced with Team USA holding a narrow 6.5-5.5 advantage over Team Europe following the opening day's play.
According to Ryder Cup officials, Thursday's singles matches will commence between 8:00 and 9:39 a.m. at the Glen Cove venue.

The statement confirmed: "The singles matches of the 13th Junior Ryder Cup will be contested between 8:00 and 9:39 a.m. at the historic Nassau Country Club in Glen Cove, New York, which hosted the foursome and four-ball matches on Tuesday and Wednesday."
Team USA requires 15.5 points to secure victory, whilst Europe needs 15 points to retain the trophy.
Severe weather conditions are expected to strike Bethpage on Thursday, with forecasters warning of persistent rainfall and thunderstorms throughout the day.

The adverse conditions have already disrupted tournament scheduling, with organisers forced to relocate the opening ceremony from its traditional Thursday slot to Wednesday.
Farmingdale is predicted to experience heavy downpours for much of Thursday, including overnight periods.
The weather disruption marks a disappointing turn for the young competitors who had anticipated playing at the same venue that will host golf's elite from Friday.
