Rory McIlroy swore at his press conference after enduring a torrid opening round at the PGA Championship.
The Northern Irishman ended his round with bogeys on his final four holes to record a poor four-over-par start.
When asked by the PGA Championship press conference moderator to describe his opening round, McIlroy said one word: "S***."
The Masters champion is in danger of missing Friday's cut with less than two dozen players carding a worse score, one of them being LIV golf star Bryson DeChambeau, who shot six-over-par.
McIlroy said: "I'm just not driving the ball well enough. It's been a problem all year for the most part.
"I've sort of got, like I miss it right, and then I want to try to correct it. And then I'll overdo it, and I'll miss it left.
"It's a little bit of back and forth that way. So that's pretty frustrating, especially when like I pride myself on driving the ball well."
When asked if his toe was causing issues for the poor round, the Northern Irishman bluntly responded: "No."

McIlroy played alongside American Jordan Spieth and Spaniard Jon Rahm, who both recorded scores of one-under par.
The Masters winner continued: "I didn't have great angles, either. Then obviously, you start missing it just off the edges of these greens; it gets tricky.
"Yeah, I felt like I did okay. I made that birdie on five to get back to even-par after the soft bogey on four, then I just got on that bogey train at the end."
McIlroy admitted the penalty for missing a fairway is "more than what I anticipated" after previewing Aronimink a few weeks ago.

DeChambeau did not speak to reporters after his horror round, with the American in real risk of missing the cut.
He has finished runner-up at the two previous PGA Championships but struggled to find any form in his first round.
DeChambeau missed seven greens in regulation and needed 33 putts to get through his round, which did not see a birdie until his final hole, the ninth.
McIlroy even clashed with fans about making noise during his swing in his opening round.

The Northern Irishman pointed towards a spectator on hole four at Aronimink, addressing how they were using their camera.
McIlroy appeared to be distracted by the fan, telling them: "Wait until after we've hit."
The Northern Irishman then thanked the spectator before stepping up to take his putt.
McIlroy is back in action for his second round as he looks to close the gap on his playing partners, Spieth and Rahm.
