West Ham United have introduced stringent ticket verification measures ahead of their Premier League fixture against Arsenal on May 9, targeting supporters attempting to secure seats in home areas of the London Stadium.
The East London club is demanding that ticket purchasers demonstrate their allegiance to the Hammers through photographic evidence.
Buyers must submit images showing themselves wearing West Ham merchandise or other club-related items.
Crucially, the verification process stipulates that any clothing or memorabilia featured in photographs must have been acquired prior to January 2026.
The measures specifically affect individuals with no previous booking history at the club, or those who have predominantly purchased tickets for this fixture only.
These supporters have been informed that their tickets are currently suspended and will not be granted stadium access on matchday unless they satisfy the verification requirements.
The fixture carries enormous significance for Arsenal.
They currently sit nine points ahead of Manchester City at the summit of the Premier League.

| PAShould both clubs maintain identical form over their next four matches, the London Stadium encounter would become the moment Mikel Arteta's side secures their first league championship in over two decades.
Arsenal last lifted the Premier League trophy in 2004, making the potential title-clinching occasion at their London rivals' ground an irresistible prospect for Gunners supporters.
This historic possibility has fuelled extraordinary demand for tickets among Arsenal fans, with some attempting to circumvent restrictions by purchasing seats in West Ham's home sections.
The club's intervention follows the detection of these attempts, with the ticket office conducting checks specifically designed to prevent away supporters from infiltrating areas designated exclusively for home fans.

An email dispatched from the West Ham ticket office outlined the verification procedure for those flagged by the system.
The club said: “We are currently conducting ticket checks for this fixture to ensure that away supporters do not purchase tickets in the home end and, accordingly, advise that your ticket is currently on hold and will not permit you entry into the stadium on match day in line with our terms and conditions.
"These conditions have been accepted by you during the purchasing process and state ‘home match tickets are for the use of supporters of the club only’.
"As you have no previous booking history with us or have only/mainly booked this particular fixture, we require evidence of you and your guest(s) being a West Ham United supporter.

The club indicated that such audits are conducted regularly to minimise the risk of opposition supporters gaining access to home sections.
West Ham themselves have considerable stakes in the encounter beyond preventing an Arsenal celebration on their turf, as Graham Potter's side are currently embroiled in a relegation struggle, sitting just one point below safety and trailing fellow London club Tottenham Hotspur in the standings.
