Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk has broken his silence on the horrors that followed the Reds's trophy parade on Monday evening.
Van Dijk lifted the Premier League trophy in front of adoring Liverpool fans for the first time just the day before the attack.
The 33-year-old was then at the centre of the parade, showcasing the trophy in amongst a sea of red shirts and flares in the centre of Liverpool.
However, just moments after the parade concluded, chaos struck at Water Street, when a car drove into a crowd of Liverpool supporters.

Forty-seven people were injured, with 27 being admitted to hospital.
On Tuesday morning, Liverpool City Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram said there are "still four people who are very, very ill in hospital,” one of which being a child.
"We are hoping of course that they pull through," he continued.

Reds skipper van Dijk is the latest individual to take to social media to send his thoughts and prayers to those affected.
On Instagram, the two-time Premier League champion wrote: “My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected.
“Praying for a speedy recovery for everyone who has suffered injuries."
“We are all with you,” he added.

Van Dijk used the same red photo as legends Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher, with the latter saying: "Devastating end to the day.......just pray everyone is okay."
Liverpool FC also released a statement immediately after the incident, saying they were in "direct contact" with Merseyside Police.
On Tuesday morning, Liverpool CEO Billy Hogan provided an update for supporters on a recorded video posted via the clubs official channels.
"On behalf of all of us here at Liverpool Football Club, I would like to extend our heartfelt thoughts to all those who've been affected by this appalling incident on Water Street yesterday evening,” Hogan said.

"This weekend was one of celebration, emotion and joy spread across the city in our entire fan base, and it ended in unimaginable scenes of distress with this appalling incident.
"I'd like to pay tribute to our emergency services and partner agencies Merseyside Police, North West and St John Ambulance Services, and Merseyside Fire and Rescue who dealt with the incident, and now our hospital staff across the city who are dealing with those who are injured, including tragically four children.”
A 53-year-old man from the Liverpool area was arrested at the scene.
The motive is unknown as of yet, however, assistant chief constable Jenny Sims said they believe it to be an isolated incident, and is not being treated as an act of terrorism.
