Tottenham have finally ended their trophy hoodoo after beating Manchester United 1-0 in the Europa League final.
Brennan Johnson's bobbled strike that went in off Luke Shaw in the first-half saw Spurs take the lead against a poor United, who never truly tested a shaky Guglielmo Vicario.
In a final with very little quality, it was a battle of grit between two sides desperate to end their shambolic campaigns with something to shout about.
As it turned out, it will be Tottenham fans singing throughout the night in Bilbao on Wednesday as they ended their 17-year wait for a trophy.

Spurs last lifted silverware in 2008 when they beat Chelsea to win the League Cup and it has been a long spell since for fans to taste glory again.
But it was made all that bit sweeter to beat Premier League rivals United to win the Europa League, their first European trophy since 1962 when they won the Cup Winners' Cup.
And it came about after a defensive mishap on United's part as Pape Matar Sarr sent what appeared to be a simple cross in the box.
With three United defenders grouped around Johnson and Andre Onana rooted to his line, the Wales international managed to nip in and get some sort of contact on the ball.
While his effort was hardly dangerous, the ball bounced off Luke Shaw's arm and somehow trickled past Onana to send the Spurs fans wild behind the goal just before half-time.
United had plenty of possession after the break but could not test Vicario, who at times looked as shaky as his counterpart across the pitch.
A shoddy free-kick should have been dealt with ease by the Italian, but instead he flew in and missed the ball and collided with his defender.
Rasmus Hojlund headed the ball towards an empty net only for Micky van de Ven to pull off a superhuman effort to lift it away off the line.
That was as close as the Red Devils got, as they huffed and puffed but ultimately lacked any sort of quality to get near the Tottenham net.

A last gasp moment from Shaw, desperate to make up for his earlier mistake, saw his header well saved by Vicario.
And that spelled the end for United, with Tottenham writing their names into the history books instead.
Manager Ange Postecoglou will also be able to stand up to his critics after his strong statement earlier this season where he asserted that he 'always' wins trophies in his second season.
While his fate remains very much up in the air, he will always be remembered as the man to end Tottenham's trophy hoodoo.
As for United, this was yet another disappointing performance under Ruben Amorim, who has failed to get any sort of tune out of his side since replacing Erik ten Hag earlier this campaign.

The Portuguese coach remains under no threat of losing his job despite a shocking record of 16 wins in 41 matches.
It will mean that United will be without European football next season, which will have a drastic impact on their ability to sign players in the summer as well as their spending power.
Meanwhile, it is the reverse situation for Spurs, who can now begin their summer plans in the transfer window with several areas already targeted for improvements.
