Tottenham fans make feelings clear on Igor Tudor exit after just seven matches in charge

"We can confirm that it has been mutually agreed for Head Coach Igor Tudor to leave the Club with immediate effect," they said in a statement.

"Tomislav Rogic and Riccardo Ragnacci have also left their respective roles of Goalkeeping Coach and Physical Coach.

"We thank Igor, Tomislav and Riccardo for their efforts during the past six weeks, in which they worked tirelessly.

"We also acknowledge the bereavement that Igor has recently suffered and send our support to him and his family at this difficult time.

"An update on a new Head Coach will be provided in due course."

Tudor's last game in charge was a dreadful 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest, with Spurs now sitting just one point above relegation.

They had gambled on the 47-year-old, hoping his no-nonsense approach would win round players and fans alike.

That didn't happen, however, with Tottenham losing five of their seven matches under his stewardship to worsen an already turbulent campaign.

Some fans on X have stuck the knife into Tudor, questioning why he was ever brought in to begin with.

"Who would have thought this wouldn't work. Such a weird appointment in the first place," said one supporter.

A second said: "Best wishes to Igor at a tough time for him and his family. Probably the wrong man at the wrong time.

"Another similarly bad appointment and we will be relegated. Do I trust the current Spurs administration to get it right? Absolutely not. They should be packing their bags too."

A third said: "Looked inevitable. It was an appointment that never looked right from the onset. Shame how things have turned out for Spurs as they now face the stark possibility of a relegation scrap."

And a fourth stated: "Such a sad appointment. One of the worst hires that needed to be fired immediately after the mistake was made."

Tudor recently suffered the loss of his father. Tottenham insist the decision to part ways is a mutual one.

Other supporters feel the former Juventus and Marseille manager was given an impossible job in the first place. One user wrote: "Sad situation all around. Igor Tudor had an impossible job with the injuries, and the personal loss makes it even harder to criticise him.

"Focus now has to be 100% on safety. Who do you think comes in as the 'emergency' manager?"

A second opined: "The wrong man at the wrong time."

It is unclear who Tottenham will now bring in.

Sean Dyche is the obvious candidate, though whether he'd accept a short-term contract is unclear.

Roberto De Zerbi, Adi Hutter, Mauricio Pochettino, Harry Redknapp, Tim Sherwood and Ryan Mason have all been linked.
