The South Korea international skippered his side to Europa League glory earlier this year

Los Angeles FC have tabled a bid of £15million for Tottenham Hotspur skipper Son Heung-min.

The North London club are said to to be willing to accept offers in the region of £15m to £20m for their 33-year-old captain.

The South Korean international's future at Spurs has become uncertain following the MLS club's approach.

Any potential move would require the Europa League winner's agreement to the transfer, according to The Sun.

Los Angeles FC have tabled a bid of £15million for Tottenham Hotspur skipper Son Heung-min

The forward, who netted seven goals and provided nine assists across 30 Premier League matches last term, is actively participating in discussions regarding the proposed transfer.

Son became Tottenham's first captain to secure silverware since Ledley King achieved the feat in 2008.

The timing of any potential departure is complicated by Tottenham's pre-season commitments in Asia. The club face Newcastle United in Seoul on 3 August, following a North London derby against Arsenal in Hong Kong.

Son's participation in these fixtures carries significant financial implications. Should Tottenham sell their captain before the Newcastle match, they would sacrifice up to 75 per cent of their appearance fee.

The forward is designated as a "key player" in the tour contract.

Even if Son travels with the squad but doesn't feature, Tottenham would lose half their fee.

The player enjoys enormous popularity across his homeland and the wider Asian region, making his presence particularly valuable for the tour.

Thomas Frank has addressed the situation surrounding Son's potential departure, expressing satisfaction should the player choose to remain at the club.

"Right now, I have a player who is fully committed and training well," the new manager stated.

Frank also acknowledged the complexities involved when dealing with long-serving squad members.

"If a player has been at a club a long time, then there will always be a decision for the club to take," he added.

The former Bayer Leverkusen player retains the option to remain in North London and compete for his place in the team.

Despite Tottenham's disappointing 17th-place finish last season, Son's contributions remained significant throughout the campaign.

Tottenham have demonstrated significant ambition in the transfer market under Frank's stewardship. The club secured West Ham forward Mohammed Kudus and converted Mathys Tel's loan from Bayern Munich into a permanent deal.

Japanese talent Kato Takai has also joined the ranks, whilst young defender Luka Vuskovic arrived from Hajduk Split.

The club's pursuit of Nottingham Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White has encountered difficulties despite activating his £60m release clause.

Forest have blocked the transfer, alleging that Tottenham's approach was "illegal".

These recruitment efforts highlight the club's determination to strengthen the squad following their disappointing domestic campaign, which saw them finish 17th in the Premier League last season.
