Chelsea Chief Todd Boehly was caught by his wife as he was seen checking his phone during Chelsea’s goalless draw against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

The awkward interaction, caught on camera during the match, showed the American businessman’s wife, Kate, nudging her husband to make him aware that he was being broadcast throughout the stadium and across the world not paying attention.


Blues fans were not left in the best mood after seeing their chief not paying attention in the dying minutes of a level match.

They took to social media to berate the billionaire as he seemed disinterested during the opening game of the season.

While fans may have been annoyed by the Chelsea chief’s lack of interest, of all the games to lose focus on, Saturday’s game could be forgiven, not much happened in the goalless draw, and if it were not for a little known rule, Crystal Palace would have taken the lead.
