Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has been tipped for a sensational return to management after eight months away from the touchline.
The former midfielder left Saudi Pro League club Al-Ettifaq by mutual consent in January and has been without a team since.
But the 45-year-old has now been tipped to return to the sport, this time to join former England team-mate and current Coventry City manager Frank Lampard in the Championship.
It is Hollywood-owned Wrexham that former footballer Pat Nevin has revealed would be a “temptation” for the Liverpudlian.

Former Chelsea star Nevin believes there is an opportunity for Gerrard at Wrexham, which could be a “temptation” for the former Rangers boss.
Speaking to Escapist Magazine, he said: “I have to say, Wrexham's a temptation for Steven Gerrard.

“With Wrexham, what's the downside of that? The expectations are minimal from most people in football. Maybe not from the owners, let's be fair. But he could make that extra special.
“My eyebrows are raising at that one. I'm thinking, ‘Oh yeah, that could be good.'
“And of course, north-west, Wrexham may have a wee understanding with Liverpool Football Club. I wouldn't be surprised at that one if that happened. Certainly, from Stevie G’s point of view, that might be a temptation."

Gerrard enjoyed a terrific start to his managerial career, but in recent years it has not gone as planned for the Merseyside icon.
After coaching at Liverpool youth levels, the former LA Galaxy man joined Rangers and guided the club to a historic period of success.
In his final season of his three-year spell at the club, Gerrard masterminded an invincible Scottish Premiership league win, garnering 102 points during an astonishing campaign.
Things fell apart for the Champions League winner, though, when he moved to the Midlands in 2021, joining Aston Villa.
Gerrard lasted just 11 months at Villa Park before being replaced by Unai Emery, who has remained in the role since.
After nine months away, Stevie G took an opportunity in the ever-growing Saudi Pro League with Al-Ettifaq, linking up with former Liverpool men Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum. He left the club in January this year.
