Former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra has claimed Sir Alex Ferguson told Nani he 'hoped' he broke his leg after being stretchered off against Liverpool.
The Frenchman, who won five Premier League titles under Ferguson, described the legendary manager as "evil" during an appearance on the SDS podcast.
"If Ferguson was coaching right now he would probably end up in jail," Evra said. "There's no way Ferguson would not be in jail with what he would do to."
Evra revealed he witnessed numerous players reduced to tears by Ferguson's infamous "hairdryer treatment".

"Do you know how many players I saw cry because he gave them the hairdryer, throwing boots - he was evil," Evra continued.
The Scot's tough management style and borderline intimidation tactics were well-documented during his time at Old Trafford.
Ferguson's methods created what Evra described as a brutal environment at the club.
"We were bad people," Evra admitted. "I want to apologise to all the youngsters who trained with us. We were animals."
The culture at United under Ferguson was one where players reportedly "bullied" each other with "no friends".
Perhaps Ferguson's most famous incident came after an FA Cup defeat to Arsenal in 2003, when he kicked a boot that struck David Beckham in the face.
The midfielder was later seen sporting an eye injury that required stitches.

Evra also recalled Ferguson's fury at Danny Welbeck for missing a penalty in a Saudi-based friendly match.
"When we got back into the dressing room, Ferguson shouted 'Welbeck! Who the f*** do you think you are? Coming in the first team, taking a penalty'," Evra said.
"I was like 'boss, it's just a friendly game'. He was like 'F*** the friendly game'."
Another shocking incident involved Portuguese winger Nani, who was on the receiving end of a horror tackle from Liverpool's Jamie Carragher at Anfield in 2011.
The challenge left a huge gash on Nani's shin, but when he began crying, Ferguson allegedly showed no sympathy.

"Ferguson said 'I hope your leg is broken, a United player cannot cry at Anfield'," Evra revealed.
The studs-up tackle would likely have resulted in a red card by today's standards.
Nani was carried off on a stretcher, but faced ridicule from both his manager and team-mates.
According to Evra, the senior players at United were waiting "to kill Nani" following the incident.
"After the game we were waiting for the next day when we were going to kill Nani," he said. "To tell you how nasty we were, we didn't care."

"If you're bleeding and you cry, you're done, you're not part of us.
"Even now in the Man United's WhatsApp group we still put that picture of Nani crying at Anfield."
Despite his controversial methods, Ferguson's approach undeniably delivered results during his 26-year tenure at Manchester United.
The Scot won an impressive 38 trophies, including 13 Premier League titles, five FA Cups and two Champions League titles.
His disciplinarian style revived what Evra described as a "sleeping giant" and produced one of the most successful periods in English football history.
