The split comes just weeks before the French Open

Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic's tennis alliance is no more.

Both legends of the sport have confirmed they've stopped working together, sending fans into shock just weeks before the French Open is due to commence.

Murray had started working with Djokovic at the Australian Open, with the Serb reaching the semi-finals of that competition.

After just three more events together, however, the duo have decided to go their separate ways.

Murray is now set to spend some time with his family as he assesses his options.

There's talk he could start coaching Jack Draper, who has flourished over the past 12 months, while Emma Raducanu represents another candidate.

He won his first Grand Slam in 2012 when he beat Djokovic in the final of the US Open, ending Britain's agonising wait for a Grand Slam champion in the process.
