Roy Keane has expressed a belief that Liverpool are in 'crisis' after the Reds were emphatically beaten 3-0 by Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
Erling Haaland, Nico Gonzalez and Jeremy Doku all found the net at the Etihad as Pep Guardiola's side moved to within four points of Arsenal at the top of the Premier League table.
While it was a brilliant afternoon for City, however, it was another day to forget for Arne Slot and his players.
Liverpool have lost five league games already in the league this term and are eight points behind Arsenal in the standings.
Performances have left much to be desired, with big names such as Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson all toiling.
And Keane, speaking on Sky Sports, believes Liverpool are now in crisis after yet another huge setback.
"I think it is crisis time for Liverpool. It's okay to lose to a club like Man City - it's a tough place to come," said the Manchester United icon.
"But to lose seven in ten - five league losses already - It has to be a crisis for a club like Liverpool.

Arne Slot cut a frustrated figure on the touchline as Man City thumped Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium | GETTY"I thought Liverpool looked like a really weak team today.
"The manager said he was pleased with the second half, but the game was over! It's easy to play well when you're not playing for anything.
"I thought [Slot's] assessment of the game was spot on. City looked stronger, technically better and more physical than Liverpool today.
"[Liverpool] still had moments, they've always got quality, but the goals they're giving away - their decision making - was not good enough.

Liverpool's big players were off the pace as they lost 3-0 to Man City at the Etihad Stadium
"There was a lack of intensity, a lack of energy. The subs, when they came on, looked really soft.
"I think it is a crisis for Liverpool."
Keane also praised City, admitting they could sneak into contention for the title.
"I reckon if you ask Pep six seven weeks ago he would've said it's a rebuilding job. But Pep has that spark back," added the Irishman.
"Haaland is obviously a goal machine, but [Phil] Foden coming back, the other players making an impact - they're certainly back in the mix.
"If he surprised everyone and managed to win the league this year - it would be up there at the top of all of his achievements."
Meanwhile, Gary Neville and Daniel Sturridge have also reacted.
Neville said: "It was about which of these two clubs were going to emerge as Arsenal's nearest challengers and could they send a message to the Gunners.

| GETTY"Pep Guardiola, in his 1000th game as a manager, his team and his staff, have done that.
"It's a really good day for Guardiola and Man City, but it's a difficult day for Arne Slot and Liverpool."
And Sturridge, who played for both clubs during his career, has also hailed City.
"Tactically, they outdid Liverpool today. The way they pressed was magnificent, they caused a big problem for Liverpool's build-up," stated the 36-year-old.
"The performances of the Liverpool players? They were miles off what they're used to be. If they're honest with themselves, they're going to know they haven't played at their level.
"Man City were magnificent."
