Rebekah Vardy is pushing for her husband Jamie to join David Beckham's Inter Miami football club following the end of his Leicester City contract, according to sources close to the couple.
The 38-year-old striker's deal with the former Premier League champions has expired, leaving him without a club.
A friend of the Vardys told the Daily Mail: "Miami is much more glamorous, they often holiday there, and look at what it has done for the Beckhams.
"Getting big in the US has turned them into global stars."
The source added: "She's obsessed with the idea of moving in the same circles as Victoria and David.
"She sees herself as a natural fit: glamorous, bold, headline-grabbing and she knows America could have a lot of commercial opportunities unlike places like Saudi Arabia."
However, the move faces significant obstacles due to Vardy's involvement in the high-profile Wagatha Christie trial.
The 43-year-old was ordered to pay approximately £3 million in legal costs after losing her libel case against Coleen Rooney in 2022.
A source familiar with Inter Miami told the Mail: "The Wagatha Christie case follows Rebekah around and people will never forget it.
"The judge ruled that she did leak stories about Coleen and Wayne so that's hardly going to impress David and Victoria."
The financial pressure comes as Jamie's £140,000 weekly wages from Leicester have ceased.
At his peak, the striker reportedly earned £7 million annually, though football finance experts suggest approximately 60 per cent would have been lost to tax, agent fees and other deductions.
Despite the financial pressures, the Vardys maintain their extravagant lifestyle.
The couple recently listed their Portuguese villa for £9.7 million, with friends claiming they had grown "bored" of the property after nearly a decade of holidays there.
Vardy chartered a private jet earlier this month to attend a wedding in the south of France.
This followed recent holidays to Dubai, Thailand, Lapland, Las Vegas and the Maldives, with some resort accommodation costing up to £6,000 per night.

The estate features an indoor swimming pool, sauna, tennis courts and a personal gym that required rebuilding after a 2023 fire.
Their luxury vehicle collection includes Vardy's Mercedes AMG G63 valued at approximately £180,000 and Jamie's £200,000 Bentley Continental GT.
The couple's business ventures have yielded mixed results, including investments in a vodka-based drinks brand called SKTL alongside former footballer Dennis Wise.
