Real Madrid have confirmed the punishment handed to Federico Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni after the pair were involved in a training ground altercation earlier this week.
The Spanish giants released an official statement on Friday after opening disciplinary proceedings against both midfielders.
The club revealed that each player has been fined €500,000 following the incident. However, Real Madrid also made clear that no sporting sanctions will be imposed on either man.
That means both Valverde and Tchouameni remain available for selection and will continue training with the first-team squad as normal.

The statement read: “Real Madrid C.F. announces that, following the events that led to the opening of disciplinary proceedings yesterday against our players Federico Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni, both appeared today before the investigating officer.
“During their appearance, the players expressed their sincere regret for what happened and apologized to each other.
“They also conveyed their apologies to the club, their teammates, the coaching staff, and the fans, and both offered their full cooperation to Real Madrid, ready to accept whatever sanction the club deems appropriate.
“In light of these circumstances, Real Madrid has decided to impose a fine of five hundred thousand euros on each player, thus concluding the corresponding internal procedures.”
Reports in Spain suggested tensions boiled over during a heated training session at the club’s Valdebebas base. Details surrounding the argument have not been officially disclosed by the club.
Despite the seriousness of the incident, Real Madrid have clearly opted against suspensions or squad exclusions. The decision will come as a relief to manager Carlo Ancelotti, who relies heavily on both players in midfield.
Valverde has been one of the club’s most consistent performers in recent seasons, while Tchouameni remains a key part of Madrid’s long-term plans.
The club now appear eager to move on quickly from the incident ahead of the final stretch of the season. By concluding the internal disciplinary process immediately, Real Madrid are hoping the focus can return to matters on the pitch rather than dressing room tensions.
Both players are expected to be involved in training again this weekend.
