Football fans have expressed their anger after Manchester United interim boss Michael Carrick was nominated for the Premier League Manager of the Season award.
The 44-year-old has worked wonders with the Red Devils ever since being appointed as Ruben Amorim's replacement back in January.
Carrick has guided United back into the Champions League, with the club on course to finish in the top three for the first time since the days of Erik ten Hag in 2023.
But given he's only been in the dugout for four months, rival supporters have been left less than impressed.
"Carrick," said one fan while accompanying their post with a laughing emoji. "Shows the state of the Premier League this season."
A second said: "What is Carrick doing there?"
Another wrote: "Please can somebody tell me what's Carrick doing in that list."

A fourth opined: "Carrick getting nominated before [Daniel] Farke is scandalous."
And a fifth said: "What is Carrick doing in there? Managing 15 games all season is now enough to get you nominated."
Others also expressed their shock that Daniel Farke and Unai Emery, managing Leeds United and Aston Villa respectively, haven't been included.

Accompanying Carrick on the list is Mikel Arteta.
The Spaniard is on the verge of steering Arsenal to Premier League title glory, with just two victories needed to scoop the crown for the first time since 2004.
His title rival, Manchester City's Pep Guardiola, has been shortlisted as well.

Bournemouth face Manchester City this weekend knowing that, if they win and other results go their way, then a place in Europe's premier competition could lie in wait.
