Salah arrived at Anfield in the summer of 2017, having been recruited from Serie A outfit Roma.

Over the subsequent nine years, the winger has cemented his place among the most distinguished figures ever to don the famous red shirt.

The club confirmed that an agreement had been reached with their talismanic forward, bringing his remarkable tenure to its conclusion at the end of the 2025-26 campaign.

Salah himself wished to inform supporters at the earliest opportunity, demonstrating the respect and appreciation he holds for those who have backed him throughout his time on Merseyside.

His record at the club stands at an extraordinary 255 goals from 435 outings, placing him third in Liverpool's all-time scoring charts.

The silverware accumulated during his tenure reflects his immense contribution: two Premier League titles, the Champions League, the FIFA Club World Cup, the UEFA Super Cup, the FA Cup and a brace of League Cup triumphs, alongside the FA Community Shield.

Individual recognition has followed in abundance, with Salah claiming the Premier League Golden Boot on four separate occasions.

Last season alone, he netted 29 times whilst providing 18 assists across 38 league appearances as Liverpool secured their second domestic crown.

In his heartfelt message, Salah spoke of the bond forged between himself and the Anfield faithful.

"Liverpool is not just a football club. It is a passion, a history, a spirit. I can't explain in words," he reflected.

The forward acknowledged the unwavering support he received during both triumphant moments and personal difficulties. "You stood by me in my toughest times. I will never forget," he added.

Salah concluded with a poignant tribute: "I will always be one of you and this club will always be home to me and my family. Because of all of you, I will never walk alone."

With silverware still within reach this term, the Egyptian remains committed to delivering the strongest possible finish before his Anfield farewell.
