Michael Carrick's side made it three wins in a row with their victory at Old Trafford on Sunday

Manchester United's recent improvement has continued, with the fallen giants beating Fulham 3-2 at Old Trafford courtesy of goals from Casemiro, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko in a dramatic Premier League showdown.

The Red Devils went into the showdown hoping to build on recent victories over fierce rivals Manchester City and Arsenal.

And though Fulham fought back from two goals down to make it 2-2, substitute Sesko's late thunderbolt gave Michael Carrick's side all three points.

Casemiro, who announced he would be leaving the club at the end of the season when his contract expires, rose to head home a brilliant free-kick from Bruno Fernandes.

That set-piece was awarded after VAR had decided against giving United a penalty after Cunha went down.

Cunha managed to double their advantage shortly after the interval, with the former Wolves star blasting home from close range, before Raul Jimenez and Kevin drew Fulham level.

However, after coming off the bench, Sesko rifled a stunning effort into the top corner to spark wild celebrations around the famous ground.

GB News now takes a look at four talking points from the game.

United should attempt Casemiro U-turn

With Casemiro playing this well, should United really let him go?

At the age of 33, the Brazil international is producing some of his best form since his arrival from Real Madrid back in the summer of 2022. Against Fulham he didn't just score the opener, he then proceeded to produce an outrageous no-look pass for Cunha's goal.

Casemiro hasn't always been a starter for the club, having blown hot and cold during the days of Erik ten Hag and Ruben Amorim.

But he's fully-deserving of a spot in Carrick's starting XI and, based on this performance, is worthy of a fresh contract on reduced terms. That U-turn, without a doubt, is worth making.

Cunha's first few months in Manchester saw the Brazil international struggle to produce the form that made him so unplayable at Wolves.

In recent games, however, the 26-year-old has really stepped up.

He was sensational off the bench against Arsenal last time out, with his thunderbolt late on giving the Red Devils all three points.

And having been selected in place of the injured Patrick Dorgu, Cunha took his chance well. At long last, the Samba star has found his best form.

Fulham will be frustrated

Fulham will be frustrated by their failure to get anything from the game.

They performed well throughout and, at 2-2, would have expected to leave with at least a point to their name.

Old Trafford has, however, often been a difficult place for the Cottagers to come. Sesko's late goal only hammers that home.

Marco Silva will be irked that his team couldn't score against United earlier, too, before their stunning fightback. If they had, perhaps the result would have been different.

When Ruben Amorim was sacked, few expected United to go on a run like this.

However, the Red Devils have been sensational in recent matches and will now fancy their chances of securing a Champions League spot for next season.

Yes, Chelsea and Liverpool have started to regain their mojo.

But United, playing just one game a week, are now the favourites to book their place in Europe's premier competition next term.
