Manchester United are standing firmly behind manager Ruben Amorim despite the club enduring their worst season in decades.
The Portuguese coach offered to resign without compensation following Wednesday's Europa League final defeat to Tottenham.
But according to the Telegraph, United chiefs maintain his position is unaffected by the result as they prepare to intensify efforts to reshape the chronically underperforming squad this summer.
Amorim made his resignation offer during his post-match press conference, stating: "If the board and fans feel that I'm not the right guy, I will go the next day without any conversation about compensation.

"But I will not quit again. I am really confident in my job and, as you can see, I will not change nothing in the way I do things."
The loss to Spurs means United have failed to qualify for European competition for only the second time in 35 years.
Since Amorim replaced Erik ten Hag in November, United have won just six of their 26 Premier League games, sinking to 16th in the table.
They could finish the season in 17th if they lose to Aston Villa on Sunday and Tottenham avoid defeat against Brighton, officially making this their worst campaign since relegation in 1974.
Despite the disastrous season, United's players have thrown their support behind Amorim.
Captain Bruno Fernandes insisted: "I do think the manager is the right one and I don't think that it will be a better person to come into the job."
Luke Shaw echoed this sentiment, saying: "He knows what he needs to change. I think that's why Ruben is 100 per cent the right person."

Diogo Dalot added he was "100 per cent sure" Amorim is the right man for United.
United are unlikely to issue a public vote of confidence in Amorim, having already initiated plans to enhance their squad.
They expect to sign Matheus Cunha from Wolves for £62.5 million and are interested in Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap, who has a £30 million release clause.
The club hopes to raise about £90 million by selling Marcus Rashford, Jason Sancho and Antony, with Barcelona's sporting director confirming interest in Rashford.

Uncertainty surrounds Alejandro Garnacho's future following his controversial omission from the starting XI against Spurs.
The Argentina winger expressed frustration after the final, saying: "Until we reached the final, I played every round. And I played 20 minutes today."
His brother and agent Roberto has accused Amorim of "throwing" the player "under the bus". Chelsea and Napoli, who both bid for Garnacho in January, could renew their interest with United likely to accept around £60 million.
