Jayden Danns scored twice as Liverpool won 3-0 against Southampton to reach the FA Cup quarter-finals.

Jayden Danns has admitted he "lost all composure" after scoring twice in front of the Kop to realise a childhood dream in helping Liverpool beat Southampton in the FA Cup fifth round.

Jurgen Klopp is dealing with an injury-riddled squad at the moment, which has given some of the club's youngsters a chance to shine.

Conor Bradley has made the most of his chance this campaign and has led the way for others to follow in his footsteps.

James McConnell, Bobby Clark and Danns were all on the field at the end of the Carabao Cup final as Liverpool recorded an emotional victory at Wembley a few days ago.

Klopp gave the kids even more minutes in Liverpool's FA Cup tie against a Southampton side pushing for promotion from the Championship.

The Liverpool boss' faith in using the club's youth players paid off early on with young Lewis Koumas scoring the game's opening goal.

Caoimhin Kelleher came to Liverpool's rescue on several occasions to maintain their slender 1-0 lead.

But Danns made sure of Liverpool's victory shortly after his introduction off the bench with two brilliant finishes sparking wild celebrations in the ground.

The 18-year-old was a picture of joy at full-time as he attempted to take in the moment.

And the teenager, who's father is ex-professional Neil Danns, admitted to not knowing what to do when his second goal went in.

"It is a dream come true," he told ITV. "I've supported the club since birth.

"To come on and score at the Kop End is amazing, it doesn't feel true.

"It feels like I'm in a film. The second one was just pure joy, it didn't feel like it could come to me, I was happy with one.

"I lost all composure. I don't know what my dad is going to be doing now because he was in tears when I made my debut.

"I'm grateful for the opportunities I'm getting right now."

He said: "Danns you could see that second goal coming, he has that nose.

"We saw it in the final. He had that luck and he was there to score that goal. It was a wonderful game to watch."
