Liverpool will be without two players for today's Community Shield clash against Crystal Palace at Wembley.
The Reds qualified for the curtain-raiser by winning the Premier League title last term, having dominated from start to finish.
It was a sublime first season at the helm for Arne Slot, who had been handed the tricky task of replacing club icon Jurgen Klopp following the German's decision to step down.

Joe Gomez and Conor Bradley will be absent, however, with both players struggling for fitness.
Gomez, who is a club stalwart having been at the club since arriving from Charlton back in the summer of 2015, is currently sidelined for what has been described as a 'minor injury'.
Slot, speaking on Friday, said: “Unfortunately he has a minor injury at the moment but he will be back with the team very soon.”
Bradley, meanwhile, is also poised to miss out.

The right-back, who is set to be a key player for the Merseyside giants following the departure of Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid, was absent from training earlier this week.
Slot also admitted it would be 'tight' for the youngster to return, too.
Yet Liverpool have still received a boost ahead of the match in the capital, with Slot confirming Alexis Mac Allister was fit.
Discussing the Argentina international, the Reds boss stated: “He will be in the squad [on Sunday].

“He was out for two months I think, or longer because we didn’t play him in the last four games of the season. He trained with us since a week now, played 30 minutes, 45 minutes.
“So that’s not a situation where you would start a player [and] play him for 90 minutes. Starting is possible but definitely not for 90 minutes.”
Slot acknowledges that Palace will be a tough test for his side.
But he's optimistic Liverpool can secure victory and get their new season off to a flying start.
The former Feyenoord boss said: "[It's nice] if you can start the season with the chance of winning something.
"Normally you have to play numerous games before you can win something.
"If it's the League Cup, FA Cup, let alone [the] Premier League or Champions League, normally you win something in the end of the season.
"Now we have a chance to win something in the beginning of the season.

"Unfortunately, we face a very good Crystal Palace that have been very difficult to win against for us, because we played 1-1 against them in the last game of the season.
"They showed in the last final - and even in the semi-final, by the way, as well - how difficult it is to win a one-off game [against] them.
"I think most of the players that they have are still there, so even more reason to know what a difficult team it is to play against."
