Lionel Messi was left shocked following his Inter Miami side’s 4-0 loss to PSG in the Club World Cup, with French media tearing into the veteran prior to the clash.
The Champions League winners destroyed David Beckham’s side to advance to the quarter-finals of the tournament.
Before the game, French media had viewed this game as revenge for PSG, after Messi had a very underwhelming spell with the club.
France’s leading sports paper L’Equipe ran a front page with a photo of Messi with the headline: “Messi… not all is forgiven.”

That message seemed to have been passed along to the players as PSG took complete control of the first half, scoring four times without reply.
Inter Miami completed 25 passes in the first half, while PSG dominated the game with 257 and two goals to seal the result in the first half for the Parisian side.

Inter Miami qualified for the Club World Cup after winning the MLS Supporters’ Shield and seemed to be out of their depth against Europe’s finest.
