Lamine Yamal’s former girlfriend has spoken publicly for the first time to dismiss rumours that the Barcelona teenager cheated on her with an Italian influencer, insisting that the pair’s recent split was not caused by infidelity.
The 18-year-old Spanish international confirmed over the weekend that his three-month relationship with Argentinian singer and influencer Nicki Nicole had ended.
The revelation came through a message sent to Spanish YouTuber and journalist Javier de Hoyos, co-presenter of D Corazon on Spain’s national broadcaster La 1.
Reading the message live on air, De Hoyos said: “Lamine says they’re not together anymore and it hasn’t been because of any infidelity.
“He tells me the trip to Italy has nothing to do with this, that he was no longer dating Nicki when he went and he hasn’t been with anyone else.”
The clarification came amid growing speculation in Spain and Italy linking Yamal to Italian influencer Anna Gegnoso, following reports he had been seen in Milan.
The claims quickly spread online, prompting both Yamal and his former partner to set the record straight.

Spanish paparazzo Jordi Martin shared a video message on social media early on Monday morning, claiming to have received a personal statement from Nicki Nicole confirming the breakup.
Holding his phone up to the camera, Martin said: “Exclusive. Nicki Nicole has contacted me in the early hours of this morning and has told me she has split from Lamine Yamal.”
He then read her message aloud: “Hi Jordi. I’m not normally one to do this sort of thing, but I just wanted to clarify that Lamine and I haven’t been together now for a few days, since I left Barcelona.”

|Referring directly to the rumours of infidelity, she added: “I’m telling you this mainly because of the cheating story.
“I’m grateful that you told me, but believe me, if someone were unfaithful to me, I would be the first to make it clear everywhere, just as I did in the past.”
Her comments appeared to reference her previous high-profile relationship with Mexican rapper Peso Pluma, which ended after he was filmed holding hands with another woman at the Super Bowl in February last year.
Nicole later confirmed the split on social media, saying she had learned of his “lack of respect” the same way her fans did.
Neither Yamal nor Nicole has made any official statement on their own social media accounts about the end of their relationship.
The pair had gone public in August, when Yamal helped celebrate Nicole’s 25th birthday — one month after they were first spotted together at a nightclub.

Spanish outlet Sport reports that Barcelona officials are monitoring the issue closely, fearing it could become long-term.
Off the field, Yamal also made news after posting a photo outside a luxury property once owned by Gerard Piqué and Shakira, amid reports he has purchased the home for £9.5million and plans to live there with family and friends.
