Inter Milan goalkeeper Josep Martínez has been involved in a fatal road incident in northern Italy in which an elderly man lost his life.
Local authorities confirmed that the 27-year-old footballer was driving when his vehicle struck an 81-year-old man using an electric wheelchair in the village of Fenegro, located near Como.
The collision occurred at approximately 9:40am local time on Thursday, close to Inter’s training facility in Appiano Gentile.
Emergency services, including an air ambulance, responded swiftly to the scene.
