The Croatian has departed the north London side after just one win

Tottenham have confirmed the departure of Igor Tudor.

The Croatian was only appointed last month following the decision to axe Thomas Frank, who had experienced a nightmare stint in the dugout.

However, with Tudor winning just one game, the club have opted to part ways with the former Juventus and Marseille boss leaving by mutual consent.

A statement read: "We can confirm that it has been mutually agreed for Head Coach Igor Tudor to leave the Club with immediate effect."

The statement continued: "Tomislav Rogic and Riccardo Ragnacci have also left their respective roles of Goalkeeping Coach and Physical Coach.

"We thank Igor, Tomislav and Riccardo for their efforts during the past six weeks, in which they worked tirelessly. We also acknowledge the bereavement that Igor has recently suffered and send our support to him and his family at this difficult time.

"An update on a new Head Coach will be provided in due course."

Tottenham had turned to Tudor in a bid to avoid relegation.

However, the 47-year-old sole victory came in a Champions League match against Atletico Madrid, while they lost five of their other six matches.

Tudor's last match in charge was the club's disastrous 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest, with that result seeing them sit just one point above the relegation zone.

It is currently unclear who will step in until the end of the season, with a few names in the frame.

One option is Sean Dyche, with the former Everton and Burnley boss a free agent following his dismissal from Forest last month.

He did attempt to dampen speculation that he's in the running on Saturday, suggesting that images of the capital merely existed because he was there to see a friend.

With a proven track-record of keeping teams up, and perhaps with a point to prove against Forest for sacking him, Dyche would tick several boxers.

Another option is former Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi.

The charismatic Italian was axed by Marseille and earlier this season and is willing to move to Tottenham. However, his preference would be to wait until the end of the season and whether they're still a Premier League team by that stage.

Likewise Mauricio Pochettino, who is widely expected to leave his role as United States manager after this summer's World Cup.

Former players and managers have been linked as well.

Harry Redknapp and Tim Sherwood, who managed the club in the 2000s and 2010s, have previously expressed interest in the role.

Robbie Keane, who currently manages Ferencváros, is a candidate also interested in the position.
