Gareth Bale has helped end a family feud involving his wife, Emma Rhys-Jones, and her father — with new details regarding the couple’s marriage coming to light.
Bale and Emma began dating in the early 2000s while attending school in Wales, before tying the knot in 2019.
It was a lavish ceremony attended by their nearest and dearest, but according to The Sun, it “wasn’t quite the one they might have hoped for.”
That was because Emma’s father, Martin, was banned from attending the ceremony.

The couple had previously put off getting married until her dad had finished serving a prison sentence, after he was jailed for fraud.
Emma had wanted Martin to be part of her special day yet, ultimately, he didn’t attend due to a row over his girlfriend, Alina Baranova.
Some of her other close relatives were reportedly uninvited too, including her elderly grandparents on her mother’s side.
John and Eva McMurray, who cared for Emma when her father was sent away, were also prevented from attending the couple’s special day.

However, the outlet now reports that the family rift has healed — with Bale himself playing a huge part.
The 36-year-old “stood by his wife without judgement” throughout the ordeal, and family ties, it seems, have been strengthened as a result.
Meanwhile, earlier this week, Bale revealed he once feared going bankrupt during his time as a Real Madrid player — despite earning a huge £29 million a year.

Speaking to Front Office Sports, the Wales legend said: “There was one thing that always scared me inside.
"You read articles about when people finish professional sports — they go bankrupt.
"They don’t know how to manage their money; they don’t know how to do all these things.”
A source has since revealed that Emma will always stand by her husband.
“They have been together for so long, and Gareth is such a huge part of her family’s life,” the insider was quoted as saying.
“He’s helped them out on numerous occasions and never judges — and for that, she will always be 100 per cent loyal and supportive of him. Even if he did lose all his millions!”

Another source admitted that Emma has had a tough life, having had to cope with living in the spotlight.
But the couple’s family life comes first and always has, with the pair closer than ever despite being together for so long.
“Emma has been through a lot in her life, and because of who she fell in love with when she was just a teenager, she’s had to deal with a lot of it publicly,” they said.
“There is no doubt she had the chance to be a huge star in the realm of Coleen Rooney or even Victoria Beckham, but she made the decision to put her family first.
"She lives a very quiet life away from the cameras. She’s very modest despite having millions in the bank with Gareth — there’s no fanfare like there is with other WAGs.
"Gareth is teetotal, so they’re not ones to go out and get messy. A night at home with the family is what they love.”
