Everton have confirmed that Ashley Young will be one of three players released by the club at the end of the season.
The 39-year-old full-back will depart alongside goalkeepers Asmir Begovic and Joao Virginia.
The news comes as manager David Moyes praised Young's contribution to the team since joining the Toffees on a free transfer in 2023.
Young, who has made 68 appearances for Everton, has previously played for Watford, Aston Villa, Manchester United and Inter Milan during his distinguished career.

He won both the league and FA Cup with United under former managers Sir Alex Ferguson and Louis van Gaal.
Everton boss Moyes spoke highly of Young following the announcement of his departure. "Since my return to the Club, I've seen what a great professional Ash is and know the leadership qualities he has brought to the squad during his time at Everton," said the Scot.
"His versatility, experience and know-how have also been really beneficial to the team and me."
Moyes also acknowledged the contributions of the departing goalkeepers, adding: "Asmir and Joao have also worked really hard and conducted themselves impeccably.

"On behalf of everyone at the club, I want to thank all three players for their service and we wish them all the very best for the future."
Young has had an illustrious career, earning 39 England caps alongside his club achievements. The veteran defender began his professional journey at Watford before moving to Aston Villa.
He then enjoyed a successful spell at Manchester United, eventually becoming club captain, before moving abroad to join Inter Milan.

Young returned to English football with Everton in 2023, where he has since made 68 appearances for the Toffees.
Despite still being active as a player, Young has already begun his punditry career, working for talkSPORT during Euro 2024 and appearing on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football and Prime Video's Champions League coverage.
Young recently contradicted a rumour that he would be offered a new deal at Everton. After online Everton expert The Bobble claimed on Thursday that the Toffees were set to offer Young a contract extension, the player responded directly.

"Well I'm gonna burst your bobble this time," Young replied to the post earlier today.
Meanwhile, Begovic rejoined Everton from Queens Park Rangers last summer for a second spell as Jordan Pickford's backup.
The 37-year-old Bosnian made 10 appearances during his first stint but hasn't played this season.

Begovic has had an extensive career, having played for several prominent clubs including Chelsea, AC Milan and Portsmouth before his time at Everton.
Virginia initially joined Everton's academy after three years with Arsenal and made eight first-team appearances for the Toffees.
