The governing body has faced calls to move the showdown from Bilbao

The Europa League final between Manchester United and Tottenham will take place at San Mames in Bilbao, which has a capacity of 53,289 fans, instead of being moved.

Despite both clubs likely demanding more tickets, UEFA has confirmed there will be no change of venue after the ground was awarded the match back in 2021.

This follows precedent as seven finals between teams from the same division have been played in the last 15 years, none of which were moved.

United and Tottenham booked their places in the final after impressive performances in their respective semi-finals.

The Red Devils defeated Athletic Bilbao 7-1 on aggregate, following up a 3-0 win with a 4-1 triumph at Old Trafford despite conceding first.

Tottenham travelled to the Arctic Circle where they beat Bodo/Glimt 2-0 on the night, securing a 5-1 aggregate victory.

Both Premier League sides have reached the final despite inconsistent league form this season.

Each team's supporters will receive an allocation of 15,000 tickets for the final in Bilbao.

A further 11,000 tickets will be made available to the general public through UEFA.

The remaining 12,000 seats at San Mames will be reserved for sponsors and hospitality guests.

This allocation follows the standard UEFA distribution model for European finals, ensuring both sets of fans have equal access to tickets.

Under UEFA's 'fans first' scheme, the tickets allocated to each team's supporters are the most affordable.

Prices for these tickets start at just £34, while tickets available to the general public are more expensive, ranging from £55 to £204.

The tiered pricing reflects UEFA's approach to major finals in recent years.
