Who is Bournemouth's Alex Scott?
Alex Scott was born on the Channel Island of Guernsey and plays as a central midfielder for AFC Bournemouth in the Premier League.
After being released by Southampton as a youngster, he reignited his passion for the game and continued to work his way toward professional football.
At just 16 years old, Scott made his senior debut for Guernsey FC, becoming the club’s youngest-ever player.
His talent quickly attracted attention, and in 2020 he joined Bristol City, where he rose to prominence with a series of standout performances in the Championship.
In August 2023, AFC Bournemouth secured his signature on a long-term deal running until June 2028, marking his move to the Premier League.
Wearing the number 8 shirt, Scott is recognised for his versatility across midfield, capable of operating centrally, in attacking roles, or on the right and for his intelligent, right-footed style of play.
Internationally, Scott has represented England across youth levels, including the U19s and U21s, and he was part of the England U19 squad that lifted the European Championship in 2022.
Although his early Premier League journey has been punctuated by injury setbacks, including a knee problem and a broken jaw, the 22-year-old has been a standout in the Premier League, starting for AFC Bournemouth, who sit one point behind second place.
