England defender Marc Guehi saw his post-match interview with ITV cut off mid-sentence on Tuesday night as coverage of the Three Lions’ emphatic 5-0 victory over Serbia made way for the News at Ten.
The Crystal Palace centre-back was among the scorers in Belgrade as Thomas Tuchel’s side continued their flawless start to World Cup qualifying.
Harry Kane, Noni Madueke, Ezri Konsa and Marcus Rashford also found the net in a commanding display that extended England’s run without conceding a competitive goal to more than 10 and a half hours.
The match itself was not without incident.

Play was halted shortly before half-time when a laser pen was directed at England players including Reece James, while riot police were forced to intervene following crowd trouble among Serbian supporters.
Despite the disruption, England kept their composure to record their biggest away win of the campaign.
After the final whistle, Guehi and Madueke were interviewed pitchside by ITV’s Gabriel Clarke.
Both spoke of their delight at the result, but Guehi’s answers were cut short as the cameras abruptly switched back to the studio in order to hand over to the nightly news.

Host Mark Pougatch was left to wrap up the broadcast swiftly, while pundits Roy Keane and Ian Wright managed awkward smiles as the show ended.
The interruption meant viewers missed part of Guehi’s reflections, including a mention of his failed transfer move to Liverpool on deadline day.
ITV later posted the full interview on social media.
Reflecting on the night, Guehi said: “It’s been great! It’s always easy coming here [on international duty], we’ve got such a good group of players and staff.

He went on to add: “There’s been a lot of good camps, this performance in particular stands out. We just hope we can carry this on and these are the standards.”
Meanwhile, Tuchel also revealed his delight after England recorded the biggest victory of his tenure so far.

"I told you! Yes, you need a bit of trust in what we're doing," he said.
"We tell you what we feel, and we see what we see in camp – I don't lie to you. If I didn't see it I would say we're not there yet.
"I am glad the players could show what they showed me during this week. This week was excellent. The attitude, the way we played in both matches.
"Today is a statement victory against a difficult opponent in a difficult environment. I think it was the teamwork, the team performance – we helped each other out.
