Eastbourne Borough's squad has promised to compensate supporters who endured a 300-mile journey to Devon, only to witness their side suffer a crushing seven-goal defeat at Torquay United.
The gesture follows Saturday's humiliating result, which represents the team's most severe loss this campaign.
The Sussex club currently languishes in 23rd position in National League South, having secured merely two victories from eighteen matches.
Their goal difference of minus eighteen stands as the division's poorest record.

Manager Tommy Widdrington acknowledged the result as unacceptable, with the club confirming via social media that match ticket costs would be refunded to those who made the lengthy trip.
The Devon-based hosts opened their account after just seven minutes through Louis Dennis, who doubled their advantage at the half-hour mark.
Jordan Young and Dylan Morgan extended the lead before the interval, leaving Eastbourne trailing by four goals.
Dennis secured his treble shortly after the restart, whilst Morgan and Young each claimed second goals with nearly half an hour remaining.
The club announced on X: "Following today's unacceptable result, #EBFC players will be reimbursing the cost of match tickets for all travelling supporters."

Officials confirmed they were coordinating with the Supporters Club to compile attendee lists, with reimbursement details to follow directly.
This marks Eastbourne's tenth league defeat in eighteen fixtures this season, a stark contrast to their previous campaign when they accumulated 88 points and finished third.
The South Coast outfit were amongst seven clubs competing for the title last term, ultimately falling short in the promotion play-offs.
Widdrington's return last month has shown glimpses of progress, yet Saturday's result underscores the substantial task ahead.
Meanwhile, Sussex rivals Worthing have surged to third place following seven consecutive victories under Adam Hinshelwood's management.
Horsham, the county's other National League South representative, sit fifth after extending their unbeaten streak to ten matches with a draw at Hemel Hempstead.
The gesture echoes similar responses from top-flight clubs following poor away performances.
Tottenham's players offered reimbursements after their 6-1 thrashing at Newcastle in April 2023, whilst Sunderland compensated travelling supporters following an 8-0 defeat at Southampton during the 2014-15 campaign.
Some supporters questioned the necessity of such measures at non-league level. One fan commented on social media: "Why? It's tier 6, lads will have off days. My team lost 5-1 today, if they offered me my money back I'd say no. Bad days are part and parcel."
The club recently released a seven-part documentary chronicling owner Simon Leslie's efforts to transform their fortunes.
