Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva’s funeral will be held tomorrow after he was killed in a tragic car accident in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The tragedy occurred on the A52 motorway near Palacio de Sanabria in the province of Zamora, Spain, when Jota was en route back to Liverpool.
The car is said to have derailed from the motorway, causing the fatal crash at around 00:30 local time on Thursday.
Spanish police revealed that their Lamborghini left the road due to a tyre blowout while overtaking another vehicle, with the car then catching fire.
The details of the star’s funeral have emerged, and it is to be held at 4pm tomorrow despite the tragic nature of the event.
The service will take place in his home city of Porto in Portugal, where he held his marriage to Rute Cardoso just two weeks prior.
Horses were spotted this afternoon arriving at a funeral home in a local Spanish town to retrieve the bodies that had been recovered from the devastating incident.

Jota had been advised against flying following recent surgery, so the siblings were on their way to catch a ferry over to the UK, with Liverpool’s pre-season set to begin on Monday.
Brother Silva, 25, was also a professional footballer who played for Portuguese second-tier side Penafiel.
Liverpool boss Arne Slot struggled to find the words, as he released a statement that read: "What to say? What can anyone say at a time like this when the shock and the pain is so incredibly raw? I wish I had the words but I know I do not."
Tragically, the Dutchman also paid tribute to what should have been a “perfect summer” for the Portuguese: “The last time we spoke, I congratulated Diogo on winning the Nations League and wished him luck for his forthcoming wedding.

“In many ways, it was a dream summer for Diogo and his family, which makes it all the more heartbreaking that it should end like this.”
The accident occurred during what should have been a celebratory period for the footballer and partner Cardoso, after their recent marriage and Jota’s success on the pitch.
The pair share three children together, making the tragedy even further devastating for the family.

Liverpool expressed they were “devastated by the tragic passing” of their forward, who moved to the club for £41million in 2020.
Jota’s former club, Portuguese side FC Porto, also released a statement saying the city was “in mourning” after news of the tragic accident.
The Portugal national team, who Jota made 50 appearances for, said they “will do everything to honour their legacy daily.”
Since his move from Wolverhampton Wanderers, Jota played a crucial role in Liverpool’s success, scoring 65 goals in 182 appearances.
The 28-year-old won the Premier League, FA Cup and two League Cups during his spell.
Last month, Jota won his second Nations League with Portugal.
