British tennis star Jack Draper continues to drive the same modest VW Polo car he bought after passing his test, despite amassing career earnings of £5.9 million.
The 23-year-old sees no reason to upgrade to a flashier vehicle for navigating London's streets.
According to his close friend and fellow tennis player Jack Pinnington Jones, Draper maintains a remarkably down-to-earth approach to his success.
"He's like: 'I don't need a nice car in London, I'm going to ding it anyway,'" Jones revealed.

The British No.1's attachment to his well-worn vehicle extends to keeping boxing gloves hanging from the wing mirror.
The two Jacks forged their friendship during pre-dawn training sessions, with Jones recalling journeys to Roehampton's National Tennis Centre that began as early as 6:30am.

"I'd be half asleep every time," admitted Jones, who was 15 or 16 at the time and relied on Draper for lifts.
Their 20-minute drives through Cobham avoided the school run traffic, with UK rap providing the soundtrack at the start of the week and "something probably more chilled" by Friday.
The pair would arrive at the centre so early they had to wait until 8am for breakfast.
Jones, now 22 and ranked world No.281, recently turned professional after leaving Texas Christian University.
Draper has revealed he shaves his legs for purely practical reasons related to his training regime.
"It's because of the (resistance) band work we do between our legs," he explained.

The tennis star grew tired of the discomfort caused during exercises. "I'm fed up of ingrown hairs and getting slapped with the bands it sort of hurts a lot. So, I get rid of the hairs," he said.
He added that the resistance bands would pull on leg hair and "rips them off", causing unnecessary pain. The same issue arose during massage sessions.
"I mean it's not ideal but if I'm going to be in less pain, then it's worth it," Draper concluded.
