Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice has received a six-month driving ban and been ordered to pay £2,185 after being caught exceeding the speed limit twice on the same stretch of road near his Surrey residence.
The 26-year-old, who cost the Gunners a British record £105million in 2023, was detected speeding on the A217 on two separate occasions during January last year.
Rice, who resides in a £3million property in Surrey, was driving his £40,000 Land Rover when the offences occurred just five days apart.
The ban was imposed through the totting up procedure after the latest violations pushed his licence to 15 points, reports the Daily Mail.
Rice was first recorded travelling at 37mph in a 30mph zone on the A217 on January 3 last year.
The midfielder was then caught again on January 8, this time driving at 49mph in an area with a 40mph limit.
Both incidents took place on the same road close to his multi-million-pound home in Surrey.
