A Crystal Palace fan hilariously stopped the Liverpool team bus from leaving Selhurst Park after their historic win against the champions on Saturday, adding insult to injury on a difficult afternoon for Arne Slot's men.
The victory marked Oliver Glasner’s second victory over Liverpool already this season, after beating them in the Community Shield last month.
It also extended the Eagles’ unbeaten streak to an astonishing 18 games, a run stretching back to April.
Yet again, though, the Reds were sluggish in their build-up play, although it seemed another late Federico Chiesa goal had saved their blushes.
Former Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah had other ideas, however, dealing a late blow to Slot’s side as he volleyed the ball home with just seconds to go.
The defeat ends Liverpool’s perfect start to the season, though their performances had not been as convincing and concerns over new signings bedding in continued after Saturday's defeat.

And after the game, the Palace supporters were keen to rub the victory in their opponents' faces as the away team bus attempted to leave the stadium.
A Palace fan departing Selhurst Park seized on one final chance to ridicule the departing squad by tying his shoelaces in the middle of the road and forcing the bus to wait.

Fans online enjoyed the moment, too, with one fan declaring: “S***-housery at its peak.”

A fourth wrote: “I laughed so loud at this.”
The moment typified what was a frustrating day for Liverpool, who never really got going and didn’t threaten Dean Henderson in the Palace net all that much, mustering just four shots on target.

Reds boss Slot admitted that Palace “deserved to win”, while shotstopper Alisson “saved us”. The Brazilian made five saves to keep his side in the game, although they ultimately fell to defeat.
“They had more than only two set-piece goals,” the Dutch boss said. “They didn’t score more, but they had chances from open play, from transition. So there were more things not to like than only defending the set-pieces.
“The good thing was that in the other moments, Alisson saved us. Palace have a few threats. Set-pieces are one of them, but counterattack and balls in behind are number two and three.
“From all these situations, they’ve created a lot of chances. We were able to create quite a lot against a Palace team, which hardly ever concedes a chance.
“But when you look at the first half, they totally deserved to win. In the second half, it was a much better performance from us. If one team deserved to win, it was Palace.”
