Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. has followed in his famous father's footsteps by making his international debut for Portugal's Under-15 team.
The 14-year-old, also known as Cristianinho, came off the bench during Portugal's impressive 4-1 victory over Japan.

The young forward entered the game in the 54th minute with Portugal already leading 3-0, thanks to a hat-trick from Braga's Rafael Cabral.

Cristianinho replaced Abdu Cassama in the second half as Portugal continued their dominance against the Japanese side.
The match marked an important milestone for the teenager who donned the number 7 shirt, the same iconic number his father has worn throughout his career.
Following the match, Cristiano Ronaldo Sr. took to social media to express his pride in his son's achievement.
"Congratulations on your debut by @selecaoportugal, son. Very proud of you!" wrote the 40-year-old alongside pictures of his son in action.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner couldn't contain his delight despite not being present at the stadium for the special occasion.
The debut carries special significance as it continues a family legacy that began over two decades ago.

Ronaldo Sr. himself wore the Portugal U-15 jersey back in 2001, before going on to score 136 goals in 219 appearances for the senior team.
Adding to the emotional moment, Cristianinho's grandmother, Maria Dolores, watched proudly from the stands and embraced her grandson after the match.
Cristianinho currently plays in the youth academy of Al-Nassr, the same Saudi Arabian club where his father stars for the senior team.

He has shown promise in his development, though it is still early days in his football journey.
The young forward is expected to feature again as Portugal continue their campaign in the tournament.
Portugal will face Greece on Wednesday in their next match of the competition.

The team will then take on England on Friday before closing out the tournament on Sunday against an unconfirmed opponent.
Ronaldo Sr. has previously spoken about his dream of playing alongside his son before retiring from football.
"I would like it, I would like it. It's not something that keeps me awake at night but we'll see," Ronaldo once said.
With the Al-Nassr star still performing at a high level at 40, scoring 33 goals in 39 appearances this season, that dream remains a possibility.
