Cristiano Ronaldo has spent an astonishing £270,000 on gifts after finally asking his fiancee of nine years, Georgina Rodriguez, to marry him.
The couple, who met in 2016 when Rodriguez worked in a Gucci store, share two children together - seven-year-old Alana and three-year-old Bella.
Rodriguez has built up a substantial social media presence of almost 70million followers since, but described feeling “butterflies in her stomach” when first meeting the former Real Madrid star in store.

The 31-year-old model announced their engagement through Instagram, sharing an image of an enormous diamond ring alongside the message: "Yes I do. In this and in all my lives."

The ring almost engulfed the stunning model’s finger, with the Portuguese legend spending a whopping £3.7million on the piece.
But the gifts did not stop there from Ronaldo, who has showered his new fiancee with a flurry of presents to celebrate the proposal, totalling around £270,000 according to The Sun.

|The most expensive gift is a white electric Porsche Taycan, costing nearly £80,000. A source told The Sun: "He knows that Georgina loves cars, and electric ones, and he got her one Porsche because she also loves the luxury ones.”
The next priciest items were a pair of watches, an Audemars Piguet worth a staggering £53,000, and a Patek Philippe setting the 40-year-old back £42,000.
"They both love super luxurious watches and he did spend some time looking for those and picking the Patek and the Audemars Piguet ones, to make her so happy,” the source said.

A variety of fashion items such as dresses, tops and designer handbags from Christian Dior and Louis Vuitton, also cost the Al-Nassr star around £26,000.
"He also got her many items, such as bag from Dior, but also some nice pieces of clothings, for their time travelling back to Europe mostly, and some very nice Louis Vuitton bags, as she loves that brand and she enjoys their new bag collection,” the source added.
The source explained the wedding will be a “once-in-a-lifetime moment” and that it will “most likely happen in 2026, after the World Cup”.

|"He wants to make Georgina the happiest woman on earth, and the happiest mother for their kids,” the source concluded.
While the engagement and wedding will be one to remember, Ronaldo has made his new fiancee wait for it, having previously expressed reluctance about marriage despite their long relationship.
He explained his position, saying: "I always tell her, 'when we get that click.' Like everything with our life, and she knows what I'm talking about.
"It could be in a year or it could be in six months or it could be in a month. I'm 1,000 per cent sure that it'll happen."
