His current contract at Al-Nassr is due to expire this month.
Boyhood club Sporting Lisbon, River Plate, based in Lionel Messi’s native Argentina, along with a host of MLS clubs and other Saudi Arabian clubs, had reportedly registered interest in the Portuguese legend.
However, after his emotional triumph on Sunday, marking his third international trophy, Ronaldo confirmed his plans to remain at Al-Nassr and sign a new contract at the club.

“Staying at Al Nassr? Yes.”
Despite their struggles to win any major trophies since his arrival, Ronaldo looks set to extend his contract at the club for a further two years, taking him to 2027 and 42 years of age.
Crucially, it would keep Ronaldo in the reckoning for Portugal's 2026 World Cup squad.

“In any case, we are working hard on all aspects. Ronaldo's contract with Al-Nassr runs until June 30.
