A former youth coach who worked with Brooklyn Beckham at Queens Park Rangers has spoken out in support of the 26-year-old amid his ongoing public dispute with his parents.
Anthony McCool, who previously coached at Norwich and Bradford, shared a message on LinkedIn expressing sympathy for his former player.
The coach revealed he observed a "strange dynamic" during his time working with Brooklyn and noticed visible anxiety in the teenager.
"Brooklyn Beckham getting piled on. But I felt sorry for the lad. I did see some bizarre carry on as his football coach at QPR & certainly seen the anxiety," McCool wrote.

Brooklyn was just 14 when McCool coached him at the west London club.
McCool's social media post elaborated on the unique pressures facing the eldest Beckham child during his time in football development.
"My short window into that life left me some funny stories, also some sad ones and I realised how tough it must have been for the lad," he wrote.

| PAThe coach noted that while he had trained numerous children of famous footballers over the years, Brooklyn's situation was far more intense.
"But this spell was on another serious level. It would make a good chapter in my book," McCool added.
He reflected that having constant security personnel surrounding a 14-year-old opened his eyes to a fundamental truth.

"He might have got this situation wrong, I'm not on either side because I dont know them & his parents were always polite to me," he stated.
The former coach also recognised the difficulty of judging such situations from the outside, noting it was impossible to predict how anyone would navigate such circumstances as either a parent or young person.
"But being flanked by permanent security at 14, plus the many other things I seen made me realise I shouldn't judge because I haven't walked a mile in them shoes, or his parents to be fair," McCool wrote.
He expressed optimism that the Beckhams would eventually resolve their differences, adding a lighthearted note thanking David for repaying a £6 debt.

Brooklyn alleged his parents had placed "countless lies" in the media to maintain their public image.
