Former Premier League star Brad Friedel believes Alexander Isak will shine for Liverpool, with the Sweden international set to make his debut for the club against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League tonight.
The Reds spent the majority of the summer pursuing the 25-year-old after he netted 23 Premier League goals for Newcastle last term.
And Liverpool eventually landed their man, with Isak arriving in a club-record deal worth £125million on transfer deadline day.
The forward was left out of Sunday's dramatic win over Burnley, with Hugo Ekitike starting up top in his absence.

However, he's set to be involved tonight as Liverpool look to maintain their 100 per cent start to the new season.
And Friedel, speaking exclusively to GB News via William Hill, has predicted the forward will take the Reds to new heights as they go in search of more silverware.
"Liverpool's attack has to be one of the best in Europe now for me," he said.
"[Mohamed] Salah is world class, then you add [Florian] Wirtz and [Hugo] Ekitike who are hugely talented and the latter has already started superbly well for Liverpool.
"Now adding Isak, who was sensational for Newcastle, will make them a feared force not only in the Premier League but in Europe this season.
"All three give different qualities, but all are exceptional forwards."
Liverpool have backed Arne Slot substantially this summer.
But one person who can be forgiven for feeling flightly frustrated is Jurgen Klopp, the Dutchman's predecessor.

Brad Friedel believes Jurgen Klopp always had the backing of Liverpool's owners during his time in the Anfield dugout

Klopp often complained about other teams' spending power during his time in the Anfield dugout.
Friedel, however, thinks the German always had the backing of his superiors while he ruled the roost.
The former Liverpool star added: "Klopp enjoyed a lot of success at Liverpool and won major trophies and came so close to winning two more Premier Leagues when Liverpool got over 90 points and didn't win the League.
"So I think he had the backing of the owners for sure."
Liverpool face Atletico tonight in a match that has the makings of a classic.
Slot's side have won all four of their Premier League matches, relying on late goals to see off the likes of Burnley, Arsenal, Newcastle and Bournemouth.
As for Atletico, Diego Simeone's men have endured a difficult start to the campaign.
Their LaLiga season got off to a nightmare start, with Espanyol beating them 2-1.

Atletico then followed that up with draws against Elche and Alaves.
However, they finally secured their first three points on Saturday with goals from Pablo Barrios and Nicolas Gonzalez enough to secure a 2-0 victory over Villarreal.
