Rose emerged as the frontrunner after Tottenham previously explored his availability before ultimately selecting Igor Tudor for their managerial vacancy.

A deal with the 49-year-old is viewed as more straightforward than pursuing other targets on Bournemouth's shortlist.
Rose brings considerable pedigree to the south coast role, having managed at the highest level of European competition during his tenure at Borussia Dortmund.
His time in charge of the Bundesliga giants saw him oversee the development of two players who would become global stars: Norwegian striker Erling Haaland and England midfielder Jude Bellingham.
The German's tactical philosophy centres on aggressive, high-intensity pressing football, which aligns closely with the approach Iraola has implemented at the Vitality Stadium.

Tommy Elphick, currently serving as assistant coach, has been assessed alongside Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna.
However, McKenna's primary concern remains guiding the Tractor Boys back to the Premier League, where they are on course for automatic promotion following last season's relegation.

The Northern Irishman, who spent five years at Manchester United in coaching roles, does possess a release clause that Bournemouth could activate.
Yet pursuing Rose presents fewer complications, making the German the more practical option for the Cherries as they seek to finalise their appointment swiftly.
Iraola announced on Tuesday he will depart when his contract concludes this summer.
It ends 15 months of negotiations over an extension.
