Barcelona are reportedly “ecstatic” with Marcus Rashford’s impact since his arrival on loan from Manchester United and are eager to make the move permanent at the end of the season.
The England forward has made an instant impression in Spain, winning over team-mates, coaches, and club officials who now view him as a key figure in the club’s rebuild under Hansi Flick.
Rashford, 27, has contributed three goals and five assists in ten appearances for Barcelona, rediscovering his form and confidence after a turbulent final year at Old Trafford.
Sources at the Catalan club, according to The Sun, say senior figures initially viewed the deal with suspicion, believing it was “too good to be true” that Manchester United were willing to part with a player of Rashford’s calibre.

“But they also thought United were playing a game because they were willing to let him go.
“They thought it was too good to be true — there must be something wrong with him.

“His brother Dwaine persuaded them there was nothing wrong and that he wasn’t going to mess them about. Barca are now really shocked that they could sign him for what they see as a bargain.”
Under the terms of the loan agreement, Barcelona can make the deal permanent for £25million, with an additional £5m in performance-related add-ons.
United would also receive a percentage of any future sale, though the Spanish club’s hierarchy reportedly view the price as “a steal” for a player now showing signs of his best form.

Manager Hansi Flick confirmed that he had been pushing for Rashford’s arrival as far back as last summer.
“I told Deco in the summer, ‘Bring me Rashford, bring me Rashford, please’. We needed a player like him,” he said.
Rashford endured a quiet debut but quickly found his rhythm, scoring twice in a Champions League victory over Newcastle and producing a series of strong performances in La Liga. After that game, Flick said he was “really happy for him” and confident the goals would “give him huge belief.”
The revival has not gone unnoticed in England.
National team manager Thomas Tuchel brought Rashford on as a substitute in the second half of England’s 3–0 friendly win over Wales at Wembley last week and is expected to hand him more minutes in Tuesday’s World Cup qualifier against Latvia.
