The match at the Emirates Stadium ended 2-2

A video has emerged showing Arsenal fans appearing to punch a 'Bayern Munich fan' during Tuesday night's 2-2 Champions League draw at the Emirates Stadium.

Bukayo Saka put the Gunners ahead, only for Bayern to then turn the match around following goals from Serge Gnabry and Harry Kane.

Arsenal eventually earned a draw following a goal from Leandro Trossard.

Yet while it was a good night for the Gunners, there were some bad scenes inside the crowd.

Bayern fans had been banned for the match after a few had previously thrown fireworks onto the pitch during their 3-0 win over Lazio in the round of 16.

But it appears a small number were able to obtain access to the Emirates on Tuesday night.

A video uploaded on X shows a few Arsenal fans 'taking turns' in punching a 'Bayern supporter' as he was escorted away by security.

The fan in question seems terrified and holds his hands over his head to protect himself.

Many others stood around watching the incident unfold, doing nothing to step in and prevent the man from harm.

Arsenal had previously warned supporters not to sell their tickets on to any Bayern fans.

Yet it seems their words weren't taken into consideration.

When it comes to the football, the match was certainly a brilliant European showdown.

Arsenal had gone into the game full of confidence and took a deserved lead when Saka broke the deadlock in the 12th minute.

The England international, who has just returned from injury, coolly slotted his effort past Manuel Neuer and into the bottom corner.

Bayern rallied, however, with former Arsenal star Gnabry netting on his return to his old side.

And it was written in the stars that Kane would score, with the former Tottenham star slotting home a penalty following a foul on Leroy Sane inside the box.

Arsenal, to their credit, didn't give up.

And they deserved their draw, with Trossard coming off the bench to boost their chances of making the semi-finals of the competition.

Mikel Arteta praised his team for their performance after the game, with the Spaniard saying: "I think we started the game really well, we were dominant we played in the opponents’ half, we generated some momentum, scored the first goal, and then it’s a critical moment of the match, Ben White is in front of Neuer to make it two-nil and we have to put the ball in the back of the net and it becomes a different moment, and then in Champions League you cannot give anything to the opponent.

"We had given them two goals today and when you have this situation they are going to punish you.

"The margins are really small in this competition, it’s really difficult to penetrate the opponents and create big quality chances against this level of opposition, make sure you don’t give them anything but i think the team showed a lot of composure especially after 2-1 because you can throw your toys away and generate a lot of spaces for the opponent and lose the tie in 20 minutes.
